We are one of the largest independent nursery superstores in the midlands, trading successfully for the past 20 years.

During this time we have built up the business and it has grown from strength to strength; we now own a shop that offers over 7,000 square meters of display space set out over two floors.

We stock a large and varied range of nursery products from many different suppliers.

Meet our Team

David Hempton-Smith

I’m the owner of Hopscotch and have been a self employed businessman for over 30 years. During this time my business has gone from strength to strength and I remain committed to providing an excellent service to the people of Herefordshire.

I’m married with two sons, so have an understanding of parental concerns and the needs of our customers. I’m fortunate enough to be supported by a professional and friendly team, fully trained and keen to assist.

Lisa Bell

I started at Hopscotch as a sales assistant ten years ago, and have since become the Manageress. I am a mother of a 12 year old boy, so have enjoyed the experience of being a new Mum.

I didn't have a clue what I needed, so I can fully sympathise with our customers who feel daunted at the prospect of walking into a nursery shop and being faced with a whole new world!

At Hopscotch, we aim to make the experience as stress-free and enjoyable as possible.

I've been working at Hopscotch for over two years. I'm a new Mum to a wonderful little boy who just turned one. I take my job role very seriously and take pride in helping Mums and Dads to-be with this new chapter of their lives.

Through the training I've received, I am competent with the safe fitting of carseats and helping new parents choose the products that will best suit their needs.

This helps make the experience less daunting and stressful, and a more enjoyable process!

Natalie Goodall

I've worked at Hopscotch for over six years and take great pleasure in helping our customers choose the right products for them. I've had training in carseat fitting by Maxi Cosi, Britax, Graco and Recaro which has given me the confidence to advise customers on the right products and how they should be fitted.

I have two children and therefore understand the pressures involved in getting the correct items for their comfort and safety.

I have been working at Hopscotch for just over a year, and during this time I've been fully trained in carseat fitting and have enjoyed supporting customers choose the products which suit them. I am a Mum to a beautiful 2 year old boy who has cerebral palsy; I too understand the needs of parents-to-be, younger children, and any extra needs a child may have.

I am currently fundraising for my little boy to get him to America for a special operation.
